Following the exhibition, Metanoia III, saturated solitude presented in May 2025, in SOL, Nexø, the Metanoia project*, now continues at Salto, Lisbon, for the second time in close collaboration between David Revés (co-director of Salto) and Sofie Amalie Andersen (director of SOL art space in Bornholm, Denmark).
Metanoia IV, future imperfect revisits works and concerns from the previous exhibition on Bornholm, while opening to a more unstable and porous field. In the exhibition, we are faced with a constellation of heterogeneous perspectives on the confrontations, fears and uncertainties, as well as the traps, manipulations and regimes of instability that permeate contemporary existence.
* Inspired by the meaning of the ancient Greek word metanoia — as a radical change of thought — Metanoia is a nomadic curatorial platform, initiated by David Revés in 2023, dedicated to creating dialogues between people, places, practices, entities, concepts and viewpoints of different and sometimes paradoxical natures, around themes such as finitude, extinction, ruins, decay and cumulative temporalities, to reveal hidden continuities, intensifying zones of tension, and speculate on new possibilities of thought and relation.
